COVID-19 Vaccination Drop-in Clinics
Drop in Covid-19 vaccination clinics for those aged 18 years and over will be updated here.
These are all walk-in sessions, so no appointment necessary unless otherwise stated.
We will be providing COVID-19 Vaccinations from early January 2021.
Please do not call and request an appointment until you are invited.
Following extensive trials, the first safe and effective vaccine for COVID-19 is being rolled out to approved sites. Our two Primary Care Networks will be working together and in accordance with NHS England’s guidelines, we aim to start vaccinating our local population from w/c 11th January 2021.
The COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held in an approved vaccination site – a local community venue – and this process is now underway. Details to follow.
The clinics have to adhere to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation advice on prioritisation of patient groups and accordingly patients will be invited to book a vaccine appointment via text or letter when they are eligible. Please do not request an appointment until you are invited. When invited please phone your surgery to book your vaccination appt. You will be asked some screening questions and asked to book both the first and second appointments as the vaccination programme consists of two vaccinations 21-28 days apart (manufacture dependent). You will not be fully protected unless you have both vaccinations as per the manufacturer’s schedules.
As the vaccine has a very short shelf life, the appointment times will be limited to a 3 day period from when we take delivery – this date we have no control over. Once booked, please attend the appointment as we need to ensure vaccine is not wasted. Try as much as possible to adhere to your appt time – the large numbers to be vaccinated mandate very careful management to avoid ‘gridlock’ as patients need to remain on site for 15 mins post vaccination.

Vaccination Record Card
All patients will receive a vaccination record card after the first does of the vaccine, which you must keep safe and ensure you have with you when you attend for your second dose. One of our team will use this card to record which vaccine you have received and when, plus note the date for your second dose.
